Fort Raleigh National Historic Site
A park dedicated to the first attempt for the English to colonize America, sponsored by Sir Walter Raleigh, a centuries-old unsolved mystery that resulted in the disappearance of all 117 people. The park now features a visitor’s center, Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony outdoor drama, and more.
