Hatteras Island Oyster Roast & Stumpy Point Oyster Feast

If you are in the Outer Banks in early February make plans to attend the Hatteras Island Oyster Roast. This outdoor event is held at Oden’s Dock around the fire but be sure to dress for the weather. Fresh oysters, seafood chowder and more will be served. Desserts will be available at a bake sale. Live music and corn hole provided for entertainment. Event is provided by the North Carolina Coastal Federation.

The month of February also hosts the Annual Stumpy Point Oyster Feast at Bayview Chapel in Stumpy Point. This yearly event is a celebration of seafood and includes all you can eat fried and steamed oysters, fried fish and all the typical side dishes. Find homemade desserts at the bake sale. Proceeds from this event benefit families in need in the community.


Frank Stick Memorial Art Show & Animals in Art Show

The Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show sponsored by the Dare County Arts Council is held throughout the month of February. Art works by both amateur and professional local artists are featured for your enjoyment at Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery in Nags Head. Awards are presented for best in show, excellence and merit and are donated by local businesses.

Are you an animal lover? Then make plans to visit the Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head for their Annual Animals in Art Show. The show runs throughout the month of February. Art is for sale and a percentage of profits benefit the local SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
